Beijing Uses Triads To Disperse the Demonstrators in Hong Kong

HONG KONG- Organized crime became the new weapon of the Hong Kong authorities on Oct. 3 as they endeavored to disperse the demonstrators still massed in Mongkok in the dense heart of Kowloon. 

Dozens of tough looking men waded into the peaceful demonstrators causing fights and many injuries. Some were arrested by the police but there was no sign of tough tactics against obvious provocateurs.

Hong Kong: Police had Failed to Protect Students from Violence.

HONG KONG -- Tensions in Hong Kong erupted into violent conflict on Friday as residents attempted to forcibly dislodge pro-democracy demonstrators from the streets that they have held all week. On Friday evening, the Hong Kong Federation of Students, one of the main organizers of the protests, postponed a planned dialogue with city officials, arguing that police had failed to protect students from violence.

China warns US against meddling in Hong Kong

KONFRONTASI - Beijing has warned the United States against any meddling in Hong Kong where pro-democracy protesters continue their rallies, saying China will not tolerate illegal acts in its territory.

“The Chinese government has very firmly and clearly stated its position. Hong Kong affairs are China’s internal affairs,” Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told his American counterpart John Kerry in Washington on Wednesday.

“All countries should respect China’s sovereignty and this is a basic principle of governing international relations,” Wang said.

China warns against foreign meddling in Hong Kong protests

KONFRONTASI - China has warned against any foreign meddling in the recent protests in Hong Kong, saying the ongoing pro-democracy rallies in the city are “illegal”.

Pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong remained camped out in the centre of the global financial hub on Monday.

Organizers of the protests have said that as many as 80,000 people have thronged the streets in the city since Friday.

The rallies have reportedly received support from some foreign countries including the United States and Britain.
