Spanish court allows Zinedine Zidane to coach again
KONFRONTASI - A Spanish court has quashed Zinedine Zidane’s coaching ban, permitting the Frenchman to manage Real Madrid’s reserve team.
On Friday, the court issued a ruling in favor of Real Madrid’s appeal against the three-month ban against Zidane.
The ban was the result of a complaint lodged by Spain’s national training center for coaches last month that said the former Real Madrid great did not have the required qualifications to coach the Spanish football club.
The 42-year-old is assistant boss of Real Madrid Castilla, the club’s B team. He was appointed Real reserve-team boss earlier this year after he served as assistant to first-team coach Carlo Ancelotti last season.
Zidane won the World Cup with France in 1998 and was named World Footballer of the Year in 1998, 2000 and 2003.[presstv]
